If you would like to filter results by keywords, just type them in Keywords field.

By default, content from feeds goes to Uncategorized folder on your Blog. You can override this by filling the Blog Category field. If category doesn’t exist, don’t worry, Blogomator will create it automatically.

Uniqueness Reports

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

uniqueNobody likes to have duplicate content. If you buy PLR articles or hire ghostwriters to create articles, you have to be sure in uniqueness of the content. To make this easy, we have uniqueness checks. Let’s see how to do that.

Check any article or a folder you’d like to be checked and click “Unique” link. Blogomator will show confirmation screen. Click “Begin Check” button. The system will start checking all articles with Copyscape. You can close the browser and return back later.

Since web scanning is time consuming process, this could take much time if you have many articles. Click “Uniqueness Check Reports” on the welcome page to view advanced reports for all your previous checks.

In addition, you’ll see status icons for every article if a browser, like this:

screen

Articles with yellow mark are not unique and we recommend to change it and run another check. If you got articles from several sources, you can use Properties buttons before checking articles. Assign author names for all articles then run a check. Report will show you authors, who gave you low quality content.

How to catch trending topics

Thursday, June 18th, 2009

Ok, what does ”Trend” mean?

Here’s what Google says about this:

Trends“Hot Trends reflects what people are searching for on Google today. Rather than showing the most popular searches overall, which would always be generic terms like ‘weather,’ Hot Trends highlights searches that experience sudden surges in popularity, and updates that information hourly. Our algorithm analyzes millions of web searches performed on Google and displays those searches that deviate the most from their historic traffic pattern.”

Since you never know when your topic can become hot, it could happen right away or not happen at all. This tool can bring you crazy traffic and thousands of dollars or leave you as is. It’s like a lottery, but you have complete control over it. (more…)

How to split stories

Saturday, June 13th, 2009

In “Division options” you have two ways to go.

  • If you want just to break roughly by the number or words, then use break after xx words.
    Please note: Blogomator won’t cut by exact word count. If cutting point is inside the sentence, Blogomator will find the end and divide right after full stop.
  • If you would like to control yourself, where Blogomator cuts the article, just post {next-post} mark right within the text of an article.

Get article titles works exactly the same like normal publishing, but with a twist. It will add “Part: xx” inside article file names.
Please note: If you select to get names from the first line, then Blogomator will add “Part: xx” as a first line of all newly created articles. This is being done to avoid all blog posts having the same name when splitting the article.

For example: you break your article titled “Dog food” and select to “get titles from the first line”. Blogomator will insert “Dog food. Part: xx” as a first line to all article parts it makes. This way all scheduled blog posts will get “Dog food. Part: xx” as a title

Tuning your blog to maximize Adsense earnings

Sunday, May 31st, 2009

We need to make only 3 changes to get most of adsense on your blog

  • Replace default search with customized google search
  • Put adsense inside posts
  • Put text link ad on a sidebar in-between all other links

Replacing search

  • Login via FTP to your server, go to templates folder (wp-content/templates/yourtheme) and download search.php file. Open it in notepad and delete everything.
  • Go to your google adsense and get a code for search form
  • Paste the code into notepad and save it
  • Upload the file back to server

From now, search results from your blog will contain ads from google. These ads will make you money.

Putting adsense inside posts

  • Download this free plugin: AdSense Now from http://www.thulasidas.com/ and install it on your blog
  • Go to google ansense and get a code for square banner
  • Go to plugin settings page and insert your banner code

This plugin will show your google ads inside first 3 posts on your blog and at the top of individual post page. You can change number of ads to show and position inside plugin’s settings area

Text links in sidebar

  • Go to google ansense and get a code for text links. Try to match your site theme here. Google links must look like your normal sidebar links
  • Login via FTP to your server, go to templates folder (wp-content/templates/yourtheme) and download sidebar.php file.
  • Open it in notepad
  • Find this section:
    <h2>Archives</h2>
    <ul>
    <?php wp_get_archives(‘type=monthly’); ?>
  • Put your code above this section, so you’ll get something like this:
    <script type=”text/javascript”><!–
    google_ad_client = “pub-2672859166494051″;
    google_ad_slot = “5676568860″;
    google_ad_width = 180;
    google_ad_height = 90;
    //–>
    </script>
    <script type=”text/javascript”
    src=”http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js”>
    </script><br />
    <h2>Archives</h2>
    <ul>
    <?php wp_get_archives(‘type=monthly’); ?>
    </ul>
  • Upload it back to the server

Now you have 3 ads in first 3 posts, links in sidebar, ads inside individual post pages and customized search with…..ads

Now schedule some articles to appear every 1-2 days and watch your adsense account

15 Minute SEO Tips

Sunday, May 31st, 2009

To Do:

Keywords:

Keywords in <title> tag
This is one of the most important places to have a keyword because what is written inside the <title> tag shows in search results as your page title. The title tag must be short (6 or 7 words at most) and the the keyword must be near the beginning.

Keywords in URL
Keywords in URLs help a lot – e.g. – http://domainname.com/seo-services.html, where “SEO services” is the keyword phrase you attempt to rank well for. But if you don’t have the keywords in other parts of the document, don’t rely on having them in the URL.

Keyword density in document text
Another very important factor you need to check. 3-7 % for major keywords is best, 1-2 for minor. Keyword density of over 10% is suspicious and looks more like keyword stuffing, than a naturally written text.

Keywords in anchor text
Also very important, especially for the anchor text of inbound links, because if you have the keyword in the anchor text in a link from another site, this is regarded as getting a vote from this site not only about your site in general, but about the keyword in particular.

Keywords in headings (<H1>, <H2>, etc. tags)
One more place where keywords count a lot. But beware that your page has actual text about the particular keyword.

Links – internal, inbound, outbound:

Anchor text of inbound links
As discussed in the Keywords section, this is one of the most important factors for good rankings. It is best if you have a keyword in the anchor text but even if you don’t, it is still OK.

Origin of inbound links
Besides the anchor text, it is important if the site that links to you is a reputable one or not. Generally sites with greater Google PR are considered reputable.

Links from similar sites
Having links from similar sites is very, very useful. It indicates that the competition is voting for you and you are popular within your topical community.

Links from .edu and .gov sites
These links are precious because .edu and .gov sites are more reputable than .com. .biz, .info, etc. domains. Additionally, such links are hard to obtain.

Number of backlinks
Generally the more, the better. But the reputation of the sites that link to you is more important than their number. Also important is their anchor text, is there a keyword in it, how old are they, etc.

Content

Unique content
Having more content (relevant content, which is different from the content on other sites both in wording and topics) is a real boost for your site’s rankings.

Frequency of content change
Frequent changes are favored. It is great when you constantly add new content but it is not so great when you only make small updates to existing content.

Domains, URLs, Web Mastery

Keyword-rich URLs and filenames
A very important factor, especially for Yahoo! and MSN.

Site Accessibility
Another fundamental issue, which that is often neglected. If the site (or separate pages) is unaccessible because of broken links, 404 errors, password-protected areas and other similar reasons, then the site simply can’t be indexed.

3 Tips for Blog SEO

Wednesday, May 13th, 2009

So for example if I pick a keyword “Blog automation” and decided to ranked high for it what must you do on your blog to optimize it high up in Google.

  • Insert The Keyword At Least Once In The Title Of The Post
    For example, my blog title will start off like this “5 Tips On Blog Automation”.
  • Insert The Keyword In The First 30 Words Of Your Blog Post
    When you start writing your article in your blog post, always try to have the keyword located in the first 30 words of your blog post. For example, here is how I would start my article “When you are starting new webiste take a look at blog automation site: blogomator.com…”
  • Repeatedly Keep On Writing Articles With The Keyword In Them
    In the next blog post, you would try again to find a reason to put the keyword in the title again. For example you can have another title that goes like this “Will Blog Automation Do Any Good For My Website?”

Facts

The human consciousness cannot stand unfinished actions. Ad agencies use this phenomenon to clue millions of housewives to their TVs to watch everlasting serials.

Newspapers often stretch out their top stories for 3 or 4 days. Usually beginning with the Sunday paper through the following Tuesday or Wednesday a feature story grabs reader’s attention one day and brings them back the ensuing days. A smart marketing move – in such way newspapers boost their circulation.

Checking For Uniqueness

Sunday, February 22nd, 2009

uniqueNobody likes to have duplicate content. If you buy PLR articles or hire ghostwriters to create articles, you have to be sure in uniqueness of the content. To make this easy, we have uniqueness checks. Let’s see how to do that.

Select several articles or a folder and click the “Unique” button at the bottom.

Click “Begin Check” button. After a few moments you will get a message that the checking procedure has begun. This check may take some time because it uses CopyScape and Google to be sure that the articles being checked are unique. The more articles you are checking at a time, the longer the process takes.

You can start the checking process and logout, and then check the results when you come back to Blogomator later. To view reports for all your previous checks click “Uniqueness Check Reports” on the welcome page.

screen

Once the check has been completed, you’ll notice icons near the names of the articles.

Not uniqueA Yellow mark means that the Uniqueness Check returned more than one result. We recommend NOT posting these articles. Spend a few minutes to rework it and check it again to avoid a “Duplicated Content” penalty from the search engines. If this mark didn’t change after the second check, the article still has duplicate content and probably needs more work.

Unique

A Green mark means that the article is totally unique and you can safely use it.

Note: These marks don’t disappear after you logout. You can come back later to continue reworking the articles that show duplicate content.

If you got articles from several sources, you can use Properties button before checking articles. Assign author names for all articles, then run a check. Report will show authors, who gave you low quality content.

Connecting Your Blog With an Autoresponder

Sunday, February 22nd, 2009

Watch Video

Step 1

Go to “My Blogs” and click “Add New Blog”, or edit existing one.

Check the box near “Post messages from autoresponder” You will see the “Subscribe this email:” string. You need to subscribe this email address to your autoresponder. This email is unique and all messages coming to it will be automatically added to your blog. In this example we will add the email: nHo2Egxj4@blogomator.com

zasranka

Subscribe this email to your autoresponder. If you don’t know how to do that, here are two tutorials for most popular services:

How to Add Subscriber to Aweber

How to Add Subscriber to GetResponse

After you’re done, you will see a message something like “Confirmation email has been sent

Step 2

Your autoresponder will send an email with a confirmation link inside. Blogomator will forward the email to you to confirm the subscription. After you’ve confirmed the subscription, Blogomator will start reposting your messages to the blog.

Step 3

Now you can customize the look of your blog posts. Sometimes there is information at the top or bottom of every autoresponder email message that you don’t want to have on your blog (like the unsubscribe link or an advertisement on top)

In this example we want to delete 3 lines at the top and 9 lines from the bottom of the email. Simply enter:

Remove header lines: 3
Remove footer lines: 9

This is very useful, if you have something like “Hello {FirstName}” in your messages. Since these messages will go to your blog, you don’t need this.

Also, be sure to remove footer lines with unsubscribe link and other autoresponder stuff. If you won’t do that, any blog reader will be able to unsubscribe Blogomator from your autoresponder.

Insert “more” tag after“  Enter how many words you would like to appear in an excerpt. For example, if you enter 50, then only 50 words will appear on your blog main page followed by a link that says “Read more…”.  Everything after the “read more” tag will be hidden and readers can follow the link to the rest of the article
